PP honeycomb sheet as light weight stiffness strength waterproof core material in floor,wall,partition of transportation vehicle

Polycore polypropylene (PP) honeycomb reportedly provides greater strength-to-weight ratio than traditional polyaramid or aluminum honeycombs. The cells of the PP honeycomb are essentially circular rather than hexagonal and are fused together rather than glued. The recyclable honeycomb can be thermoformed and cut to shape easily has energy-absorbing and sound- and vibration-damping properties, and is resistant to fungus, rot, chemicals and moisture.

Polycore PP honeycomb sheet laminated with polyester tissue on both sides.  This allow better bonding of the honeycomb to different surface panel.  In addition to the tissue, honeycomb can laminated with a layer of PP film . The film under the tissue acts as a barrier to prevent resin leaking into the core thus save resin consumption in next assembly process Besides there is more stiffness plastic sheet with more thicker tissue.

Polycore PP honeycomb sheet can be laminated with foam on the both sides and made to customer requirement,  so it can be widely used in sports activity provide safety protection for sportsman,  such as elbow protector,  kneepad,  chest protector,  helm,  crash helmet .Honeycomb core energy absorption property and high anti-pressing strength improve protection.

Light weight,  high compressive strength, anti-water, anti-humidity Polycore PP honeycomb sheet can be used as a core structure in the transportation fields such as aerospace, aircraft, boat, yacht, van, marine, automotive,  truck, rail and material handling, In this application. Polycore PP honeycomb sheet can lighten bare weight, boost velocity ,save fuel, whilst reinforce strength and dampen vibration.

For example: 20mm thickness Polycore PP honeycomb sheet weight is only 2.2-2.4kgs/square meter but its compressive strength high to 2.0Mpa.
